  • Bezeichnung: Unterhalb der Darstellung im Stein signiert, auf 1823 datiert und mit dem Namen des Dargestellten bezeichnet. Beiligend befindet sich ein großformatiges Faksimile eines Briefes in der Handschrift Marceaus.

  • Inscription: Signed in the stone below the depiction, dated 1823 and inscribed with the sitter’s name. Enclosed is a large-format facsimile of a letter in Marceau’s handwriting.

  • Description: Lithograph by François Séraphin DELPECH (1778 Paris – 1825 ibid.). Bust portrait in quarter profile of the French general with curly hair in uniform jacket. As a general Marceau had fought in the Vendée uprising and in the First Coalition War of revolutionary France against Austria-Prussia.
