- Bezeichnung: Unterhalb der Darstellung ist das Blatt im Stein vom Künstler signiert und betitelt mit “Vue générale de Volvie”. Oberhalb befindet sich die Nummerierung “Pl. 28”. Der lithographische Druck erfolgte bei Charles Joseph Hullmandel (1789 London – 1850 ebd.).

- Beschreibung: Stimmungsvolle Ortsansicht bei bewölktem Himmel mit durchbrechenden Sonnenstrahlen. Mittig ragt hinter einigen einfachen Wohnhäusern eine eintürmige Klosterkirche hervor. Im Vordergrund sitzt ein nachsinnender Mönch auf einer niedrigen Mauer.

- Zustand: Sehr guter Zustand. Auf dem Rand des Trägerblattes sind blasse Stockflecken sichtbar. Entlang der Kanten sind schwache Verfärbungen sowie einzelne Stoßspuren festustellen. Die Darstellung macht einen tadellosen Eindruck.

- Inscription: Below the depiction the sheet is signed by the artist in the stone and titled “Vue générale de Volvie”. Above is the numbering “Pl. 28”. The lithographic print was made by Charles Joseph Hullmandel (1789 London – 1850 ibid.).

- Description: Atmospheric view of the village under a cloudy sky with rays of sunlight breaking through. In the centre, a single-towered monastery church stands out behind some simple residential houses. In the foreground a contemplating monk sits on a low wall.

- Condition: Very good condition. Pale foxing is visible on the edge of the backing sheet. There are faint discolourations along the edges as well as single bump marks. The illustration makes an impeccable impression.
