Richard Westall war ein englischer Maler von Porträts sowie historischen und literarischen Themen. Er ist unter anderem bekannt für seine Porträts von Lord Byron, von denen eines in der National Portrait Gallery in London hängt und ein anderes im Hughenden Manor. Er war außerdem der Zeichenlehrer von Königin Victoria.

- Zustand: Sehr guter Zustand. Das Blatt ist stellenweise stockfleckig. Die Darstellung macht einen sehr guten Eindruck. Das Blatt von hervorragender Druckqualität ist im Randbereich altersbedingt verfärbt, leichte Verfärbungen in den Ecken; auf Unterlage montiert, die Blattecke unten rechts ist abgerissen aber vorhanden.

Richard Westall was an English painter of portraits and historical and literary subjects. He is known, among other things, for his portraits of Lord Byron, one of which hangs in the National Portrait Gallery in London and another in Hughenden Manor. He was also Queen Victoria’s drawing tutor.

- Condition: Very good condition. The sheet is foxed in places. The image makes a very good impression. The sheet of excellent print quality is discoloured in the margins due to its age, slight discolourations in the corners; mounted on backing, the lower right corner of the sheet is torn off but present.
