- Beschreibung: Nach einer Vorlage von Joshua Reynolds (1723 Plympton – 1792 London). Brustbild im Halbprofil. Setzte sich als Feldarzt für die verbesserte Organisation der Lazarette und Heilung der Verwundeten ein. Wurde später Leibarzt des Herzogs von Cumberland und verfasste medizinische Schriften. Pringle gilt als Urvater der modernen Militärmedizin.

- Description: After an original by Joshua Reynolds (1723 Plympton – 1792 London). Half-length portrait. As a field physician he advocated the improved organisation of hospitals and the healing of the wounded. Later he became personal physician to the Duke of Cumberland and wrote medical treatises. Pringle is considered the forefather of modern military medicine.
