  • Zustand: Guter Zustand. Auf dem gesamten Blatt sind Stockflecken und Verfärbungen sichtbar. Mittig ist das Papier schwach gewellt. Die Blattkanten sind teils unbeschnitten und weisen geringfügige Stoßspuren auf. Die rechte untere Blattecke ist grob umgeknickt. Entlang der Blattunterkante befindet sich eine Falte im Papier.

  • Description: Portrait of the Swedish explorer J.J. Björnsthl (*1731). Portrait in profile. Below the oval framed portrait the artist has signed the initials “C.A.B.” in the printing plate and inscribed the sitter’s name and dates of life.

  • Condition: Good condition. Foxing and discolouration are visible on the entire sheet. The paper is slightly wavy in the centre. The edges of the sheet are partly untrimmed and show minor bump marks. The lower right corner of the sheet is roughly folded. There is a crease in the paper along the lower edge of the sheet.
