Richard Westall war ein englischer Maler von Porträts sowie historischen und literarischen Themen. Er ist unter anderem bekannt für seine Porträts von Lord Byron, von denen eines in der National Portrait Gallery in London hängt und ein anderes im Hughenden Manor. Er war außerdem der Zeichenlehrer von Königin Victoria.

Hervorragende Druckqualität; das Blatt ist im Randbereich altersbedingt stellenweise stockfleckig; leichte Verfärbungen in den Ecken; auf Unterlage montiert, die untere linke Blattecke ist abgerissen aber vorhanden.

Richard Westall was an English painter of portraits and historical and literary subjects. He is known, among other things, for his portraits of Lord Byron, one of which hangs in the National Portrait Gallery in London and another in Hughenden Manor. He was also Queen Victoria’s drawing tutor.
