Dargestellt ist ein Gerichtsprozess im Ratssaal. Der große Rat bestand aus 71 Mitgliedern, die hier bereits in einem Halbkreise Platz genommen haben, der Präsident in der Mitte, an beiden Enden die Sekretäre. Das Synedrium beschloss Gesetze und urteilte über Krieg und Frieden. Niemand durfte sich ihm widersetzen, ohne das Leben zu verlieren, bis ihm diese Macht von den Römern eingeschränkt wurde. - Datierung: 18. Jahrhundert

- Inscription: Signed on the lower right in the printing plate with “J.v.d. Avele inv. et f.” and inscribed below with “Synedrium Magnum”.
Depicted is a court trial in the council hall. The great council consisted of 71 members, already seated here in a semicircle, the president in the middle, at either end the secretaries. The synedrium passed laws and judged war and peace. No one was allowed to oppose it without losing their life, until this power was restricted by the Romans. - Date: 18th century
